Assoc. Prof. Pham Chau Thuy
Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
Dr. Pham Chau Thuy is a specialist in environmental science and technology, especially in pollution control in agriculture. She obtained her Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Technology from Kanazawa University, Japan, and her M.Sc. in Environmental Systems from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and bachelor of Environmental Science in VNU-Hanoi University of Science. Her research focuses on environmental biotechnology, air quality assessment, and waste treatment technologies in agriculture, with a particular emphasis on mitigating emissions from biomass open burning, solid waste treatment and odour control in livestock farming. Her recent work highlights the studying of environmental factors affecting vertical farming systems, alongside the development of IoT-based precise irrigation and deodorization technologies in livestock farming based on IoT technology. These solutions are aiming to enhance efficiency in resources using and support the transition toward sustainable agricultural development.

Today, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology organized a seminar with CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International) – a leading global non-profit organization in agriculture and biosciences. This was a precious opportunity for students of cohorts 66, 67, 68, and 69 to listen, learn, and directly engage with international experts.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Nguyễn Văn Hạnh, a leading expert in Embryology and Cell Biology, who officially joins the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, starting from July 1, 2025.
